Studies were considered if they addressed screening, management, care, prevention or education relating to the care of people with diabetic foot problems. Only RCTs were used for information on effectiveness given in the bulletin. Studies which addressed Type 1 as well as Type 2 diabetes were included. A methodological checklist was used to check the quality of RCTs.
